Sporadic Entries Part II (Feb 08 2010)

Alright, so a while ago (in the last post) I said I would describe the Prohib "Back to the Bay" shows, so I thought I'd do that before writing about something else. So the two shows...well...RULED HARDER THAN ANYTHING EVER. It was amazing as always to play with the most amazing friends a person could ever ask for who also happen to be the most amazing musicians anyone could imagine. I mean, just go to the media section, look at those videos. Holy shit. The David Conner and Little Green Monster videos destroyed my will to ever make music again. SO GOOD. plus all the other brilliant bands that played over those two nights (oh you know who you are) were more than the best and makes me more and more envious of people living in california. So yeah, go look at those videos and like...be happy, cuz I sure am.

Secondly! I have a new band! Woah! Yeah guys, so I have a new pop-punk band based out of Boston that is fucking awesome. We're called Ridgemont and it's just pop-punk to the max. Members of the Credentials, Defiant Hearts, the Control, and you know...me. Just played our first show last night and it destroyed my shit. It was amazing. So yeah that's really what Prohib's been up to recently other than the insanity of grad school, but you know how that goes. I'll update soon for like, research updates and some other fucking nonsense but stay outta trouble kids. And everyone should send emails to Little Green Monster to put his album out as quickly as possible. We're starting this campaign now! Gotta get that shit done. Trying to listen to that shizzle. Oh yeah baby.

Sporadic Entries Part 1 (Jan 14 2010)

HEY to all you crazy kids who have just happened to stumble not only onto the Great Plains site but all the way over to this new Prohib blog! Here you'll learn about all the truly amazing things I happen to do all the time related not only to Prohib, but I'll make sure to keep you all updated on all the other musical-dealios that are going on now that I'm out east in Beantown, Massachusetts but also all the Political Science research I'm doing! HOLY SHIT THAT SOUNDS SO EXCITING. Also I'll be writing about random things, news, adding commentary to said news items and maybe a drunk posting or two. As the title shows, I'm not sure how often I'll be able to update this but if the consistency of the rest of our bodies of work over at GPR is any indication we'll just have to see if there's ever a Part 2. Since this is just the first post, I'll save a more content-intensive posting on what Prohib and the man behind the geet is up to for a later date but be sure to check all the other awesome bands on here since all of them basically rule. Also, I'll detail not only new pop-punk musical rumblings but also the recent Prohib "Back to the Bay" shows in the next post.
